Waste Wise and Recycling IQ

The Town of Tyngsborough was awarded the RecyclingIQ grant from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. This grant funded education efforts that were coordinated by the Sustainability Committee and the Board of Health to help residents understand what can and cannot be recycled in our curbside program. The goal was to lower our recycling contamination rate and Tyngsborough nailed it! Learn more about our success (PDF).

Sustainability Committee Announces Waste Reduction Goal

The Town of Tyngsborough has set an ambitious goal to reduce our overall waste output over the fiscal year by 3%. While continuing to improve our recycling efforts is important, this target is for overall waste reduction; recycling alone won't meet this goal. It's time to focus on reduction and re-use!
