In response to the social distancing requirements and restaurants’ limitation to take-out due to the COVID-19 health crisis, the Town of Tyngsborough has lifted the permit requirement for TEMPORARY SIGNS through July 1st, 2020.

This is intended to help local businesses inform customers of important information such as revised operating hours, specials, promotions, take-out & delivery options, daily menus, etc. Examples of temporary signs include sidewalk signs, window/wall banners, and “feather” signs:

Before taking any action, please ensure that you have appropriate permissions from your landlord / property owner and that any free-standing sign does not block or impede ADA accessibility.
This measure is for temporary signage only and does not impact any other permits required for permanent signs. Businesses are asked to remove temporary signs on July 1st unless this temporary allowance is extended.
