The 2021 Roads Project kicked off earlier this week. This project includes the installation of new drainage infrastructure and the full pavement reclamation of Jacques Road, Bishop Drive, and Roberge Drive. The project’s contractor Newport Construction, began this week by installing drainage catch basins along Jacques Road.
Next week, Newport Construction will be wrapping up the drainage portion of the project. On Monday, crews will be installing a catch basin on Jacques Road near the entrance off of Chestnut Street. There will be a period of time (starting around 10AM) when access to Jacques Road from Chestnut will be blocked in order to allow crews to install a drainage pipe to connect the new catch basin. Traffic will be able to access the neighborhood from Hillcrest Drive. The contractor will have road plates onsite to allow emergency crews to pass if needed.
On Tuesday, crews will be installing two leaching structures and pipe near #98 Jacques Road. There will be a period of time when access along Jacques Road from that side will be blocked in order for crews to safely install the drainage pipe. Since Jacques road is looped, residents will still be able to access their homes.
