Tyngsborough Council on Aging to Require Face Coverings Effective August 9, 2021
Tyngsborough, Massachusetts– Town Administrator Matthew Hanson announced this morning that effective Monday, August 9, 2021, all persons entering the Council on Aging will be required to wear a face covering. This decision is accordance with current public health guidance and the most recent mask advisory from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. That advisory recommends that all persons (vaccinated or not) who are at risk for more serious COVID-19 symptoms, are immunocompromised, or live with unvaccinated individuals in one of those categories wear a face covering when indoors not in their own home. A similar mandate is currently in effect at the Tyngsborough Public Library.
This announcement does not currently apply to the Town Hall, Highway Garage, Fire Department, or Police Department. Residents should visit www.tyngsboroughma.gov to sign up for COVID-19 alerts and to learn more.
