At a press conference this afternoon, Governor Charles D. Baker announced that effective May 29, 2021, all industry specific standards related to the COVID-19 pandemic will be lifted. Additionally, the Governor announced that all remaining industries will be allowed to re-open and the mask mandate would be lifted. The mask mandate will instead be replaced with an advisory in line with CDC guidance that all non-vaccinated people should continue to wear a face covering in public settings. Face coverings will still be required on public transit, in schools, and in health care settings.
