The Town of Tyngsborough received notification in February that it was one of 125 communities approved to participate in the Baker-Polito Administration’s Recovery Plan to revitalize communities affected by COVID-19. This includes a technical assistance grant that partners the Town with the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments (NMCOG), the Town’s Regional Planning Agency. Phase 1 builds a baseline of data collected from the community and local businesses located within the Middlesex Road Commercial Corridor.
[Note that while we requested to expand the area covered by this program, we were limited to a smaller geographical area connected to the center of Town. If your business is not located along the Middlesex Road Commercial Corridor but needs assistance or would like to share information, please contact the Town Planner, Eric Salerno at 978-743-5361]
Businesses in Middlesex Road Commercial Corridor will be asked to complete a 5-minute Survey (responses will be anonymized) by April 12th. It asks a few questions about your satisfaction with your business location, impacts of COVID on your business and your opinion regarding potential strategies to support your business and improve the commercial district.
Businesses may be contacted by phone, email, or in person to encourage their participation. The data collected will help develop a plan with projects aimed at meeting the needs of local businesses and will inform future policy decisions.
Questions about this project can be directed to Town Planner/Economic Development Director Eric Salerno by email to [email protected] or by phone 978-649-2300 x115
