At the Town Meeting on May 5, voters will be asked to approve the Fiscal Year 2027 operating budget. Fiscal year 2027 begins on July 1, 2026, and ends on June 30, 2027.
Over the course of the last few months, Town Administration, School Administration, Select Board, School Committee, and Finance Committee have worked hard with town departments to mitigate what was a projected deficit of $550,000 for the fiscal year 2027 operating budget.
After having to make tough decisions to ensure a balanced budget, Town Manager Colin Loiselle presented his proposed FY27 budget to the Select Board at their meeting on March 9th. The budget, which is balanced and represents a 4% increase over the FY26 budget, will be discussed in further detail at a Tri-Board meeting on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 6 PM.

Of note, the current proposal maintains the Town's $1M contribution to reduce the tax burden of the Middle School debt.
