Feedback Wanted: Draft Select Board Correspondence Policy

The Select Board is seeking public comment on a draft policy regarding correspondence sent to the Board. The Board is expected to review and possibly approve the policy on January 5, 2026.

Tyngsborough Announcements Posted on December 29, 2025

In an effort to create uniformity and solidify expectations around written correspondence sent to the Select Board, the Board is expected to review and approve a Correspondence Policy at their meeting on January 5, 2026.

The policy is designed to establish a clear procedure for receiving and responding to citizen communication as well as to create a policy for what written correspondence is included in the Board's publicly posted meeting packet.

Nothing in this policy changes the applicability of the Public Records Law in Massachusetts, which makes most correspondence to any government official a matter of public record and subject to discovery upon request.

Residents are encouraged to review the policy below and send any feedback to administration@tyngsboroughma.gov to be presented to the Select Board at their meeting on January 5th.
