Reminder: Kendall Road Traffic Detours

MassDOT Traffic Advisory

Lane closures on Kendall Road as of May 25

Full bridge closure scheduled May 31 through June 4 and then detours for the Kendall Road Bridge over Bridge Meadow Brook

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Highway Division District 4 is announcing that the Kendall Road Bridge over Bridge Meadow Brook will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 6 a.m.Thursday, May 31, through midnight on Sunday, June 3.  These traffic impacts are necessary to allow crews and contractors to expeditiously and effectively make repairs to the bridge that will allow for the removal of the weight restrictions when completed.

Additionally, on Friday, May 25, from 8 a.m., to 3:30 p.m., in preparation of the shutdown starting May 31, one direction of flow, (westbound lane then the eastbound lane), will be closed to allow the excavation of four test pits to find the edges of the bridge.  Police detail officers will be used to alternate vehicular traffic.  This work will allow for quicker excavation during the full bridge shutdown period.

The following detour routes will be in place for the shutdown:
