Christmas Tree Drop Off:

For the month of January, Tyngsborough residents may drop off their Christmas tree at the following locations:
  • parking lot of Council on Aging (180 Lakeview Ave) or
  • Highway Department (89 Kendall Road)

Please remove all decorations and plastic bags.

Cardboard Dumpsters

As a reminder residents can bring cardboard to the following cardboard containers in town. Cardboard must be flattened so you can slide them into the slot in the front of the container.

  1. Highway Department (89 Kendall Road); or
  2. Middle School parking lot (50 Norris Road).

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day is held each year in May. Refer to the Hazardous Waste section of this website for additional information or see the calendar above.

Yard Waste Collection Dates:

Yard waste must be in barrels or paper bags. Yard waste in plastic bags will not be collected. For missed pick-up, please call Republic Services (formerly Allied Waste) at 978-649-7564.

Collection of yard waste happens four times per year – twice in the spring and twice in the fall. Yard waste is organic waste that you can compost. Refer to the Organic Waste section of this website for tips on composting yard waste or see the calendar below for yard waste pick up day.
