Veteran’s Agent

The Town of Tyngsborough is seeking applicants for the position of Veteran’s Agent.  This is a full time position, with an annual salary range of $41,089 – $55,404.  The incumbent will be charged with oversight of veteran’s benefit administration under Chapter 115 of the Massachusetts General Laws.  This includes the disbursement of monetary and medical benefits to eligible veterans and/or their dependents, counseling veterans in procuring federal and state benefits for which they may be eligible, and conducting outreach to veterans in need.  The position also serves as the Town’s burial agent and ensures the proper care of veterans’ graves in the Town.  Required qualifications:  candidates must be a veteran per MGL Chapter 4 Section 7 and possess an associate degree or equivalent experience in financial administration.  Preferred qualifications: candidates should have familiarity with basic office procedures, demonstrate competency with office technology including computerized systems and applications, and demonstrate an understanding of basic financial administration principles.  An emphasis will also be placed on customer service skills.  Position may also be assigned other responsibilities consistent with caseload and approval by the Department of Veteran’s Services.  Job description is available in the Selectmen’s Office at 25 Bryants Lane.  Send resume and cover letter to Town Administrator Michael Gilleberto, 25 Bryants Lane, Tyngsborough, MA 01879.  Position is open until filled.  EO

INSPECTIONAL SERVICES

Plumbing/Gas Inspector

The Town of Tyngsborough is seeking applicants for the position of Plumbing/Gas Inspector.  This is a part time position, with an annual salary of up to $17,634.  The incumbent will be charged with the inspection of residential, commercial, and industrial building construction and renovation, ensuring compliance with laws for plumbing and gas safety, including CMR 248 and CMR 521.  Assists the Building Commissioner, Town boards, citizens, and others.  Required qualifications: candidates must possess a Massachusetts Plumber Certification.  Preferred qualifications: candidates should have familiarity with municipal inspectional services.  An emphasis will also be placed on customer service skills.  Job description is available in the Selectmen’s Office at 25 Bryants Lane.  Send resume and cover letter to Town Administrator Michael Gilleberto, 25 Bryants Lane, Tyngsborough, MA 01879.  Position is open until filled.  EOE.

Wiring Inspector

The Town of Tyngsborough is seeking applicants for the position of Wiring Inspector.  This is a part time position, with an annual salary of up to $12,955.  The incumbent will be charged with the inspection of residential, commercial, and industrial building construction and renovation, ensuring compliance with laws for electrical safety, including NEPA 101, CMR 527, and NEC 2009.  Assists the Building Commissioner, Town boards, citizens, and others.  Required qualifications:  candidates must possess a Massachusetts Master Electrician Certification.  Preferred qualifications: candidates should have familiarity with municipal inspectional services.  An emphasis will also be placed on customer service skills.  Job description is available in the Selectmen’s Office at 25 Bryants Lane.  Send resume and cover letter to Town Administrator Michael Gilleberto, 25 Bryants Lane, Tyngsborough, MA 01879.  Position is open until filled.  EOE.

Sewer Department Administrator

The Town of Tyngsborough, MA seeks a Sewer Department Administrator for the Sewer Commission for 27 hours per week.  Benefits package provided.  Duties include: oversight and preparation of operating and capital budgets, management of accounts receivables and payables, preparation of financial reports, procurement, management of permitting and licenses, preparation of maintenance and capital plans working with town officials, preparation of documents necessary to borrow funds for sewer projects working with Town Treasurer and others, general administration.  Salary range $29,960 to $35,194.
