Town of Tyngsborough – Kitchen Worker/Meals on Wheels Coordinator – COA
The Kitchen Worker’s primary responsibility is to handle food product to be delivered to homebound clients and serves site meals to congregate clients while following the rules and regulations of the Elder Services of Merrimack Valley Nutrition Program. The Kitchen Worker oversees kitchen preparation for receiving, packaging and serving meals and enforces health, sanitation, and safety regulations on site. The Kitchen Worker works under the supervision and direction of the Council on Aging Director or Town Administrator as directed. This is a part-time position (less than 10 hours per week) without benefits. Hours will vary slightly during the week but will typically range within the hours of lunch service. The pay rate for the Outreach Worker is $14.61 per hour. This position falls under the SEIU Clerical Union.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• C.O.R.I. (Criminal Offender Record Information) must be screened and approved:
• High School Diploma or equivalent;
• Experience in the administration of prepared food product.
