Tyngsborough Health and Highway Division have announced the holiday schedule for curbside collections and Christmas tree drop-off locations.
During the Holiday Season regular curbside collections will occur on Thursday December 24 (Christmas Eve) and Thursday December 31 (New Years Eve).
Allied Waste will pick up any extra holiday trash that does not fit into the trash carts. The trash must be in bags or barrels, and must be placed at least three feet from the cart and have a sticker. These may be purchased from Tyngsborough Health Office at 25 Bryant Lane.
This collection is limited to excess holiday household trash, and does not include bulky items or household cleanouts.
Residents are urged to use the recycling program for cardboard, both gift boxes and corrugated boxes. However wrapping, and foil tissue papers can NOT be put into the recycling bin; and will not be accepted.
Please be sure all cardboard is flattened and cut down to a size not to exceed 30” x 30”. For large cardboard boxes residents are welcome to use the cardboard containers at the Tyngsborough Elementary (Westford Road) and Tyngsborough Middle School (Norris Road) parking lots.
Extra bins or old barrels for recyclables may be used and will be picked up on the regular scheduled collection week. They must be labeled with a green recycling sticker which can be picked up free of charge at the Health Office.
