UPDATE: Tyngsborough Public Water Supply Safe to Drink

It has come to the attention of Town officials that there is misinformation circulating regarding the Town’s public water supply.

Residents are advised that water from the Tyngsborough Water District, Dracut Water Supply District, and North Chelmsford Water District is safe to drink.  There is no boil water order in place.

There are certain private wells that serve private condominium associations within town that have been instructed by the Department of Environmental Protection to boil water.  Town officials have validated that the appropriate notifications by private property managers or private well operators to private water customers, pursuant to state laws and regulations, have taken place.  Those residents are advised to follow the instructions of their property manager or private well operator.

If you have not received a notice specific to your address, you do not need to boil your water.
