The Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities held a public meeting at Tyngsborough High School Thursday December 15 to gather public comments on storm preparation and power restoration efforts by National Grid wake of the October 29 snowstorm and power outages.

This hearing was in response to customer and municipal concerns, the DPU opened investigations on November 8 into National Grid, Western Massachusetts Electric Company and NSTAR’s storm response focusing on the companies’ efforts to restore electric power, including their communications with affected communities.

The Tyngsborough Board of Selectmen provided testimony to the DPU, regarding National Grid response to the October 29, 2011 snowstorm and outages.
