Town of Tyngsborough – Administrative Assistant – Building Department

The Town of Tyngsborough, MA seeks qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant to the Building Department.  This position is appointed by the BOS and is included in the town’s SEIU Clerical Union. The Administrative Assistant will work under the general direction of the Building Commissioner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing a variety of clerical duties in accordance with prescribed policies and procedures
  • Assisting the Building Commissioner in issuing building, plumbing, gas, electrical and trench permits
  • Maintaining a database of information, filings, decisions, correspondence and finances of the Building Commissioner
  • Makes frequent contact with the general public, town departments, engineers, attorneys, contractors and state government agencies

The Administrative Assistant is a 35 hour-per-week position and is benefits eligible. The expected salary will range in accordance to the SEIU Clerical Contract’s Grade 6 Step Schedule.  Please send your letter of interest and resume to hr@tyngsboroughma.gov.
