Sustainability Committee

Tyngsborough Sustainability Committee

The Board of Selectmen formally established a Sustainability Committee on June 10, 2019. The first members were appointed by the Board of Selectmen on June 24, 2019, at the same time, their formal charge was adopted.

The Sustainability Committee is tasked with (a) supporting efforts to reduce contamination in the current recycling program and reduce future costs through the consideration of new programs and public outreach, (b) working with town departments to support recycling initiatives at public events and buildings, (c) assisting the Conservation Commission with public engagement and awareness regarding storm water management, and (d) serving as a resource for both town residents and businesses in the areas of improving and implementing waste reduction and energy saving initiatives.  The Sustainability Committee meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM in Meeting Room 1 at Town Hall.

  • The Sustainability Committee will host its first meeting at Town Hall on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 6:30 PM in Meeting Room 1. You are invited to attend to learn more about the group and the work that they will be doing.
