Description of Services:
The Selectmen are the chief municipal officers of the Town.
The Town Administrator is appointed by the Board of Selectmen to oversee the daily operations of the Town, advise and administer the policies and procedures of the Board, and enforce Town by-laws and actions passed at Town Meeting.
The Administrative Team is responsible for managing the personnel, benefits and risk management functions of the Town. These include the formulation and implementation of personnel policies, collective bargaining, wages and salary administration, recruitment and the purchasing of all town goods and services. Personnel records are managed and maintained by the Town Administrator's Office.
Also under the purview of the Administration are all licensing and the fee schedule. The Board of Selectmen serves as the town's licensing authority. Staff in the administration department also provide information, materials and technical assistance to citizens, various town boards/committees and commissions.
